"R.I.P. BLACK EYED PEAS"???

During his perfomance at the ACL Festival, right after Fergies's verse on "All The Lights" Kanye stopped to say R.I.P. Black Eyed Peas!!! What wa this all about? Does it mean that the Black Eyed Peas are split? aren't they going to make another work together? Or it was something else Kanye wanted to say? What do you believe?
