SONG OF THE WEEK: "ALL OF THE LIGHTS" - KANYE WEST ft RIHANNA & KID CUDI

After votin on facebook "All Of The Lights" is the new "Song Of The Week" by popular demand!!! It was the fourth single from Kanye West's 5th studio album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010). It was produced by West and features additional vocals from several other recording artists, including John Legend, The-Dream, Elly Jackson, Alicia Keys, Fergie, Kid Cudi, Elton John, and Rihanna, who is solely credited as a featured artist on the single.

During his perfomance at the ACL Festival, right after Fergies's verse on "All The Lights" Kanye stopped to say R.I.P. Black Eyed Peas!!! What wa this all about? January 2011: 2 songs leaked: “That’s My Bitch” and “H.A.M.”, which would later be the first single!

July 2011: “Otis” is released as a second single, but no further details released about the album… “Otis” takes a sample from an Otis Redding song and his voice and Ye with Jay rap about diamonds, cars and champagnes… Is this what we all waited all year long? Certainly not…

August 2011: “Watch The Throne” album released!!! Finally we get the chance to listen to one of the most anticipated albums of the year.

Rihanna's US leg of her LOUD  tour came to an end at her show at Boston. There she was joined by Kanye West to perform "All Of The Lights" and "Run This Town". She was also joined by Jay-Z during her tour and they performed "Run This Town" together. Here is the footage from both events:

JAY-Z & KANYE WEST ARE NOW A GROUP AND RELEASE TOUR DATES!!!

Jay-Z joined forces with Kanye West on their album "Watch The Throne" and they are now a group!!! Its name? "The Throne". Their joint album will be released exclusively to iTunes on August 8. On August 12 the physical version of the album will be available!!! They have also decided to take a tour. Tickets will be available on August 8 and here are the tour dates and locations:

Rumor has it that Jay-Z and Kanye West's joint album is on his way to the stores on July 4. If that is true, we are only 5 days away from listening to it. Although many people claim that this is the release date for the album, no oficial confirmation is out, so don't get to excited!!! All we have to do is sit back and wait until then!!!

G.O.O.D. MUSIC LABEL SIGNED TO EXCLUSIVE WORLDWIDE LABEL AGREEMENT WITH ISLAND DEF JAM MUSIC GROUP

According to the Def Jam site:

"14-time Grammy-winner (and 30-time Grammy nominee) Kanye West’s independent record label G.O.O.D. Music, has been signed to an exclusive long-term worldwide label agreement with the Island Def Jam Music Group (IDJMG).  The announcement was made today by Kanye West, Barry Weiss, Chairman & CEO of Universal Motown Republic Group (UMRG) and Island Def Jam Music Group (IDJMG) and Steve Bartels, President & COO, Island Def Jam Music Group.

The first release under terms of the new agreement will be FINALLY FAMOUS, the official debut by Detroit rapper Big Sean, arriving in stores June 28th.  The album, executive produced by Kanye West, has already spun off G.O.O.D.’s first bonafide hit single, “My Last” featuring Chris Brown.  The track is #1 on the Billboard Rap Songs chart, and #4 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart."

KANYE WEST IS ON FIRE!!!

LMFAO's Redfoo recently revealed that the electro-hop duo is working on a project with Kanye West! Kanye is also working on his next solo album, which is going to be ready this summer, as he tweeted on February. He is also working on the collaboration album with his mentor Jay-Z: "Watch The Throne", which is going to get a release date sometime this year. Although we know about the working projects Kanye is on, there are no further details... We 'll just have to wait and see!!!

KANYE WEST IS DISAPPOINTED OVER HIS LATEST SONG LEAK

The song "Mama's Boy" leaked some days ago to the internet. Kanye is very disappointed after the leak of one of his most meaningfull and ersonal songs he's even written. He even released a statement regarding this matter: 

“The version of the Kanye West recording ‘Mama’s Boy’ that arrived on blog sites earlier this week is entirely bogus and unsanctioned, and violates the artist’s creative intentions. As is often the unfortunate case, an unknown party or parties got a hold of Kanye West’s vocal track and added their own soundbed to it, effectively and falsely releasing it as a Kanye West track from the My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy sessions. The result in no way resembles the final song Kanye West intended his fans to hear, and he is deeply disappointed that one of the most personal, meaningful and special songs he has ever written would reach people in this way. Needless to say, measures are being taken to identify and prosecute the persons responsible for leaking this material.”

KANYE WEST LAUNCHES SCARF DESIGNS

"He was front row at almost every catwalk show earlier this year, and wore a women's Celine cardigan on stage last month. Now Kanye West has taken his sartorial instincts to the next level.

The rapper, 33, has commissioned a line of scarves in collaboration with French design partnership M/M (Paris).

The five limited-edition designs, on sale from Monday, are based on paintings made for the cover of Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album.

Artist George Condo's original work for the album cover, which featured a nude portrait of the artist with a female beast on top of him, was allegedly banned from stores last autumn for being too racy.

Instead, Kanye decided to print the image in silk, along with four other design commissions based on his musical fantasies.

The star named them Power, Phoenix, Face, Priest and Ballerina, and each is set in a frame of gold lettering created by the M/M (Paris) team.

Only 100 of each scarf will be made, and will be sold exclusively through M/M (Paris)’s website, and at French boutique Colette for 250€ ($364). 

A press release announcing the collaboration explains how Kanye asked M/M (Paris) to design the album packaging for the record last autumn.

It read: 'During the creative process, M/M (Paris) created a series of hand drawn ornamented frames to adorn the Condo paintings.

'The design team decided to use the most striking combinations of the paintings and the frames, and transform them into silk scarves.'

Controversy over Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album cover emerged last October.

The artist claimed the artwork had been banned by U.S. retailers due to the racy nature of the Phoenix design. 

He unveiled the design via Twitter a month before the album was released, writing: 'Yoooo they banned my album cover!!!!! Banned in the USA!!! They don't want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix!'

Referring to the cover of Nirvana's 1991 album Nevermind, which famously featured an image of a naked baby swimming, he continued: 'So Nirvana can have a naked human being on their cover, but I can't have a PAINTING of a monster with no arms and a polka dot tail and wings."
